Shutter Speed

A week or so ago I was looking outside and knew I had to go get some pictures of the sky before the sun went all the way down.  Something about the clouds and the way that the sky looked.  If you know anything about cameras, the shutter speed is something that is very important to how a picture looks.  I took these with a quicker shutter speed then the lighting called for to get the slightly under exposed affect that a few of the pictures have.  Due to the fact that I didn't have a tripod and that I liked the way the images looked on my camera I decided to keep shooting with the same shutter speed for all of the images to get the look that I wanted the images to have.

Thanks for Reading

Florida Keys

The beginning of this month I went to the Florida Keys for spring break, specifically Islamorada Florida. While I took the majority pictures on film (which I have yet to develop) I did end up taking just a few pictures on my digital and picking a few of the best ones to go ahead and post.

Speaking of developing film, I'm trying to find a place that will do a good job with my film. I would even be more then willing to send it somewhere.  All of the places here just do a mediocre job, and now I have a few rolls of film that I need to get developed and because I have been putting it off for a while now.

After reading some recommendation from some photographers that I like, I think that I found a place in Utah that I would like to look into some more.  If might like rather silly to send my pictures across the United States to get developed and scanned, but I would rather have a really good job done instead of on that is good but not like oh wow.

If you have any experience with developing film or any suggestions, please let me know cause I would be more then curious!

XOXO,
Elizabeth

Like Her, Love Her

I like both of these pictures.
The main difference is that the first one the focus is in the foreground with a lighter overall tone and the second one has a stronger focus in the background and a darker overall tone.
I serious can't pick though.
What do you think?

P.S. I know this is a repost from a few months ago but somehow I accidentally did something to it and it reposted!

Dead Flowers?

We've all been there, working on cleaning or a project or anything really and we come across something that we didn't know we had.
The other night I was working on a still like photo project and I was using different things around my room for my images, and as I was going around my room I happened to notice that I have way more dead flowers then I realized.

Now just to put this out there is isn't like I just started finding random dead flowers chillen in like my closet or dresser that I hadn't put there or never seen before cause that would be kinda just a little bit weird.
I knew that I had flowers around my room from different things and I knew where they all were, it just never hit me until I started putting them together to take pictures that there were more then I thought that there were.

On another note I have absolutely no problem with this at all, I have kept the flowers that I have gotten over time from different things and I like them!
I've alway kinda liked the ascetic of them and it funny that I had more of something that I liked then i ever realized.

Super Late Senior Pictures

The other day I was organizing the files on my computer and I came across one of my best friends' senior pictures that I took and never posted.  The embarrassing part is that she is actually in college and these picture are from almost a year ago (sorry Leisel).

In my defense I did get the picture to her so this is not the first time she is seeing them!!

That one is probably one of my favorites.

There are a few more then this but there are my favorites out of the bunch.
Thanks for letting me photograph you:)
