I've been loving going down to the river the last few weeks and taking pictures.  Everything just seems so green and pretty right now.  I'm also liking the fact that its not too hot yet although, I can't wait for summer;)

Like my last few posts these pictures were taken a few weeks ago.  That seems to be a common trend with all of the posts that I have been posting recently but the truth is I'm really far behind on posting! I'm actually rather okay without that though, I would rather have more to post then nothing to post! Hopefully once this semester ends I will be better at keeping up with the blog and posting more, you never know!

Pipeline

I'm currently in the process of starting my own website, not like blog website (I already have one of those!), I mean a website for specifically my photography.  While this is still just an idea in the works and I have nothing physical yet to show for it, I have been looking around at different photographers and how they have their's laid out.  I like the idea of having my website and then my blog possibly connected to it, or a link to get to my blog from my website. A few of the websites that I have been looking at for inspiration right now have been: A Girl Named Leney, Taylor Noelle Krause, Natalie Allen, and Emily Patton. Those are just a few of the ones that I have looked at recently because if I listed everything we could be here for a little while.  I like how those all have a space for blog posts, and a place for their photography and their work outside of their blog posts.  

Also another thing that I have been considering is changing the name of my blog. I have been thinking about this for awhile now (like months and months I think), and since there is still so much about my blog (and now my website) that I am still working on, I feel like this would be the perfect time go through with that. If I do that of course I will give some warning before I change it instead of just changing it.

In the process of changing things up, I think that I would also like to add in more day to day posts of pictures, maybe a post of pictures I took throughout the week, or even pictures from day trips I take, or more pictures of trips in general that I take.  

I was not planning on having this post be this long but that's okay these things happen.

Anyways, on to the outfit! I wasn't actually planning on taking pictures this day with this outfit, it just kinda of happened.  I went with one of my friends, who was filming a project about the pipeline that I am standing on, and because she had her camera, we got some pictures.  This was the first time that I had even been to the Pipeline, I knew that it existed but I had never been there before.  Its always funny when I go someplace new in my town.  I have lived here my whole life, and feel like I have done everything and then sometimes I go a place and its like oh I've never been here before! The Pipeline has been turned into a walkway along the river.  It's not to big, I think its about a mile or less to go down it and back.  The man that my friend was interviewing says that he thinks it is very unique and I would agree! It's defiantly not something you see ever day.  I think that these pictures were taken about a month ago but I'm not sure. I know its been a little while but thats okay too!

Last Light

I was seriously rushing big time to take these pictures. I always forget that by like 4:45 in the afternoon you can't take pictures anymore because of daylight savings time.  Anyone else feel that struggle?

It's still oddly warm here. It was a little warmer last week when I took these pictures then this week when I am posting them, but still still feels like a cold spring day instead of winter.  I wanted to pick and outfit that was both seasonal appropriate as well as weather appropriate.  I picked this long skirt that is a relatively thicker material so that even though it is a skirt it wouldn't be too light and flowy of a skirt to wear, and a sweater that is a thicker material but also has a very loose knit so that I wouldn't be too hot.

As my first post of 2016 I just wanted to wish all of my lovely readers a happy new year!

These pictures are from about a few months ago but considering its still been warm here I figured it was okay to post them.  I have a feeling that these shoes are going to be making quite a few appearances int he blog this winter because they are the 3 C's of shoes: 1) Cheaper 2) Comfy 3) Cute. I mean what more could you ask for in shoes!

I kinda have a love hate relationship with the weather right now, I want it to be cold for Christmas and everything but part of me loves that fact act its still in like the high 50s to 70s every day! What even happened to fall and winter it feels like spring. Hey I'm not complaining.  I'm working on trying some stuff to get my images to look better, for some reason as soon as I upload them to blogger I feel like they get pixilated and not as good of quality so if you have any suggestions let me know please!!

Off to The Races

Yes I named this after a Lana song but thats okay since I actually took them at a race;)  I like this outfit because it is comfy and you use mostly basics but yet it still looks nice when you go out in public! It was nice this day because it it kinda cool standing outside watching the race and will I wanted to be comfy I also didn't wanna look like I had just crawled out of bed!

The End of Summer

Today was one of the last days of summer for me, I think.  Its been cooler out(like 70s) and its starting to get darker earlier which means that fall is coming and oh my gosh you have no idea how happy that makes me!!
Im just so ready for fall but in lew of the current temperature I wasn't quiet ready to crack out the sweaters and leggings so I decided that at least one last summer post would be okay!

Finding Fashion Inspiration

I love finding fashion inspiration in TV shows.  Characters in shows always have the best closets and I always wish I could wear everything in their closets!!  Recently I have been going back and rewatching The Carrie Diaries.  I wish that show was still on haha.  Even though it was based int eh 80's for any of you that didn't know I love love love seeing the outfits in it!! 

While some shows are not reasonable for outfits normal people wear (think Gossip Girl) there are a few shows that I watch that I like for more then just the show.  Like i said above The Carrie Diaries is on the list.  Also on the list would be Pretty Little Liars, The Lying Gam and an older ABC Family show: Jane by Design.

Needed/Wanted

Judge me all you want, and i know that you are, but these are the shoes that I wear in the rain.  Yes they are Steve Madden and no, they aren't for the rain but that is what I do cause I don't have rain boots.

So anyways, this morning I woke up and it was pouring down rain so hard it sounded like the roof was going to cave in on me.  Never have I been so happy that I didn't have class.  Actually I'm that happy every time my 9am gets cancelled and I get to sleep in but that's beside the point.  So it rained all day and I started looking up rain boots and other such which lead me to Polyvore which ended up with the picture below.

I had thought about getting rain boots before and I even went and tried some on one time but I have never gone through with it.  The main reason being that my feet are so small Hunter boots don't make a size small enough to fit me.  And before you suggest kids size? Well yeah, I have been there too.... Since kids boots are made for kids the part that comes up your leg is really short and looks ridiculous on.

However, being at college I have kinda decided that I really need to buy a pair.  Walking in the rain before was never that bad, it usually meant house to car, car to building, building to car and so on.  Living in the city and being in college on a college campus I walk everywhere that I go.  

I think I'm going to look at some other brands and check out of other stores to see if I can get a pair that way I don't end up ruining my nice boots in the long run!

Dressing for the Weather

Today is one of the first super nice days in a while because recently it has been pretty cold here. We are talking like parkas in the morning kinda cold that makes you wish you never signed up for that 9am over the summer when it was still warm and getting up to 70 degree perfect weather wasn't horrible.

Anyways, I woke up this morning and looked at my phone at it said 61 for the temperature. I put on some legging cutoffs and a long sleeve T-shirt and went outside to a perfect morning.  However, as I was walking around campus I started to notice something.  People dress for the season, NOT the weather. Everyone on campus is wearing: leggings, boots, high socks, huge infinity scarfs, and everything else that I would wear on a cold fall day.  Its not necessarily weather appropriate, but its season appropriate.

That got me thinking, the first chilly day in the fall people break out their UGGs and scarfs and are ready to jump right into winter clothes.  Being used to 90-100 degrees summer days 60 degrees feels miserable and cold to us even though in theory thats a perfect day.  Now jump ahead a few months.  After a winter a making the trek across campus in below freezing weather and walking through snow and mush to get to class the first 60 degree day of the spring everyone and their brother, mother, dog, 6th cousin 8 times removed, is going to out and about in their shortest shorts and their tinniest tank tops.

I guess clothing really depends on the season since in the fall 60 means dress like the next snow storm is hitting and in the spring it means dress like you just hit Florida for spring break.

Tell me, when was the last time you dressed for the season instead of the weather and ended up either overheating or freezing your butt off (which if your shorts were short enough your probably could have done)?

Hello Blogging World!

Recently I have been thinking about changing things up on the blog a little bit.  Yes, I love doing outfit posts and taking pictures but I feel like I need to add some more to the blog instead of always doing the same things.  Because of that in the next few weeks I may e trying some new things out. Some of them may be bad ideas but I am hoping that I get some new inspirations. One idea that I have to to add some video content to the blog maybe through YouTube. Hide and Seek

Recently I went to my grandparents house for a visit and took a lot of new pictures because their backyard and the little town that they live in gave me some new places to photo graph!  Also I graduated in May and got a new camera (thanks mom and dad).  Im still working out some of the settings and trying to figure out everything that the camera can do so bare with me.  However, I hope that the picture quality will be better now then it was before.

Attack of the Pollen

Hello blogging world!

I know, I know, I haven't done a photo shoot in forever.  Reason being: Pollen.  However, today I decided to venture outside and take a few pictures in the oh so nice green world *sneezes loudly*. 

I feel like since it is spring I should be wearing floral and light colors but I didn't realize until I started editing the pictures that that is about the opposite of what I am wearing! (whoops).
