Florida Keys
The beginning of this month I went to the Florida Keys for spring break, specifically Islamorada Florida. While I took the majority pictures on film (which I have yet to develop) I did end up taking just a few pictures on my digital and picking a few of the best ones to go ahead and post.
Speaking of developing film, I'm trying to find a place that will do a good job with my film. I would even be more then willing to send it somewhere. All of the places here just do a mediocre job, and now I have a few rolls of film that I need to get developed and because I have been putting it off for a while now.
After reading some recommendation from some photographers that I like, I think that I found a place in Utah that I would like to look into some more. If might like rather silly to send my pictures across the United States to get developed and scanned, but I would rather have a really good job done instead of on that is good but not like oh wow.
If you have any experience with developing film or any suggestions, please let me know cause I would be more then curious!
XOXO,
Elizabeth

Over New Years Eve we went to the beach for a quick little trip. We got there, spent the night spent all of New Years Eve day and night there and woke up the next morning and came home. It was kinda cold and rainy while we were there but it's okay we still had fun!
I snapped a few pictures that I thought that I would share. The porch on our room had a little gate that opened up the the cute path and also out to the pool. We of course didn't get in the pool but it made for a cute picture. They had tea and coffee out in the hallways of the hotel each morning and we got donuts from a place called Duck Donuts that has the best donuts! I think that last picture is a good representation of how the weather was.
We went to a cute little book store while we were there, ate at some cute restaurants and went shopping! It seems like the majority of the businesses at this beach closes from the beginning of January up until March, when spring break starts, so at lot of the stores always have good sales which is always a good thing! We also walked on the beach while we were there and there was nobody out there but us! It was again cold and rainy which probably explained it but there were some really big shells out on the beach (probably because no one else was out there to pick them up). My brother ended up spotting a huge spiral shell that had a hole in the side of it but was still something that you rarely actually see on the beach so I grabbed it! We watched the ball drop and I ended up sitting out of the porch of our room for the first hour or two of new years which as kinda cool too.
I hope your New Years was enjoyable and you were able to bring in 2016 in the best way possible
XOXO

Stuck on the Interstate: Fourth of July Weekend Part 1
Have you ever been stuck in the middle on the interstate? I don't just mean like oh we were in slow traffic and it was backed up but we edged along. I mean like sitting not moving, turn your car off, people getting out of the cars and walking around type of not moving. Ive seen picture of it happen to people before and always think I wonder what it would be like to have that happen. Not that I ever would want it to happen it just seemed like something that after it happened you could tell the story and be like hey that happened to me.
Well...it happened to me.
Flash back to last Friday: lets get a clear picture here. It was July 3rd, good bit a traffic but not too bad, 20-30 mins outside of my home town and only an hour to go to get the river, we were sailing along and then a fire truck went by...then an ambulance...and then a cop...and then traffic completely stopped, and for the next hour we sat there...unmoving.
In the hour multiple more firetrucks and ambulances and cops drove by with there lights on, lets say one every five minutes or so and the longer we sat there the weirder things got.
First people started getting out of their cars to see what was going on, pretty self explanatory I supposed, then people started sitting on the sides of the interstate eating snacks: peaches, nectarines, and one lady had a whole bucket of watermelon. Before long a guy started skateboarding up an down the interstate. Now keep in mind this isn't some dinky highway, this is interstate 64 we are talking about. Soon you could see an ongoing soccer game about a quarter of a mile up the road and people were going into the wood and wondering around.
Its kinda hard to tell from the picture but there are people walking around and standing between all the cars. And yes that picture was taken of me standing right in the middle of the interstate. Of all the places in the world that I have wanted to take pictures standing in the middle of I-64 was not really one of the places that I pictured myself standing. But hey, now I can tell people that I have stood on one the busiest interstates in my area.
I don't actually know how long the backup lasted cause we ended up turning around and going through a cut through going back toward town and taking a different road. I heard that the re opened the interstate right after we turned around and left though which is kinda funny. It probably still took awhile though cause even after the cars started moving all those people who were skateboarding had to run back to their cars!!

Ghost Hunting
Hello blogging world!
Here I am coming to you from sunny 70 something degrees Florida (can I just say, its perfect).
Here is a lovely little picture of a tombstone I took yesterday, morbid I know, but I just couldn't resist the way the sunlight was coming through those trees. Also it doesn't help that my friend who I am here with is a major ghost fanatic. Needless to say, we are hitting up a ghost tour tomorrow night. Here's hoping the ghosties don't follow me back home!!
XOXO

That Fall Tradition
Every year my family goes up to the mountains and picks apples. We have done it for a few years now and even when I was little we went. If you would like to see a cute picture of me as a baby then check out last years post here. Speaking of last years post that was actually my first ever post on the blog!
So anyways, usually we go up on the week but instead we went up on the weekend so the place we normally go had a line of cars down the mountain. We decided to go to lunch first (yum) and then on the way back we found a place that we actually liked better. Yay for following random signs with a apples on them through the mountains.
Lets just say we will be going back to this place next year too. it was nicer and less crowded...oh and you could pick your own pumpkins which you couldn't do at the other place. I guess no one went there cause it is called a peach orchard even though they also have: apple, strawberries, peaches, cherries, and pumpkins. Who knows there may have been other stuff too.
